pink saturday, november 15.

Hello hello!

Welcome to PINK SATURDAY! What's Pink Saturday, you ask? Well go ahead and click that link to find out!

This week, I don't have much to show as I unexpectedly came home for the weekend, forgot my camera at school, and really didn't have any pictures planned. So, I went through some of the pictures on my computer and - of course - was able to find something that could work. I surround myself with pink wherever I go.. it wasn't that hard.

This is a picture of my desk as it was set up last year. There are little tidbits of pink throughout. The polka dot frame was given to me for my birthday by one of my best friends, Danielle (that's us in the photo). The pencil cup next to it was something I hand-painted at an annual Pottery Social held on campus. Then of course there are my pink post-its and my highlighter. I'm also a fan of pink foods and beverages, and seen here is the strawberry-kiwi flavored Vitamin Water.

Over on the left are my ID holder and old cell phone. The ID holder was a gift from my cousin for Christmas - it's Vera Bradley and very adorable. My phone, alas, was stolen last June at my dance recital. I miss it so. It was the perfect phone for me.. nobody was ever surprised when I whipped it out to make a call.

So that's all I really have for this Pink Saturday. Thanks for stopping by!

pink saturday, october 25.

Hello hello! And welcome to another Pink Saturday!

Curious? Pink Saturdays are brought to you by Beverly at How Sweet the Sound, and more information can be found here. Also, check out the latest post and find some other pink fanatics.

On with the pinkness!

Continuing last week's theme, Cait's Pink-ified Dorm, here is my dull, extra-long twin dorm room bed. Not super comfortable to begin with, but just add a memory foam topper and some cute accessories, and it feels just like home.

I am a big fan of decorative pillows. This one was a wonderful find, although I can't remember from where.

Finally, let me introduce you to Izzy:

For those Grey's Anatomy fans out there, yes, she's named after the famed artery-cutting doctor Ms. Izzy Stevens. My roomie Danielle and I watched Grey's every week, and there was an episode where George cheats on his wife with Izzy. The suspense built as he tried to find time to tell his wife. At the very end of one episode, he opens the door to their apartment, and after an awkward pause, he just says, "I slept with Izzy." For days, I would walk up to my roomie's doorways and repeat the line, with a look of seriousness. Then when I got my new stuffed pup and was having trouble finding a name, one of my roomies suggested Izzy. Because, well, I do sleep with her. And it stuck.

And because I'm just amazing like that...

Izzy was actually a prize I won at a Think Pink! Bingo Night fundraiser for breast cancer awareness. Coincidence? I think not.

Ah, then end to another Pink Saturday. Thanks for stopping by!

pink saturday, october 18.

I seem to have a bad habit of missing out on every other week of Pink Saturday. But have no fear! I'm back again and hope to really keep participating weekly.

No clue what I'm talking about? Check out this post over at How Sweet the Sound to find out more.

On to the Pink Saturday festivities!

Today's item is a simple one - a very cute wall clock that I found at Bed Bath and Beyond a few years ago.

It was really inexpensive and fits perfectly with the pink theme I have going on in my room. The next couple of Pink Saturdays on my blog are going to feature the various pink items throughout my dorm room. There are a lot, I'm warning you now. Everyone walks into my room and goes, "oh wow.. it's so.. pink." That's me!

A couple of my friends mentioned that they're not fans of the analog clock, especially mine because it doesn't have the numbers there, just the dots. So I went a-searching online for some other cute pink clocks and found some that tickled my fancy.

Trend Lab Clock, $19.99, Target

That solves the whole number issue, making it really visible with the chocolate-brown numbers and hands. And I'm loving the polka dots!

Pink Is as Pink Does, $15.00, from Etsy user CraftedByCarol

This is just TOO adorable. I'm addicted to searching on Etsy.com because I get results for almost anything I can think of, and everything is so beautifully made.

Ladies Rado Sintra Jubile Pink Watch, Fortunoff's Pink Ribbon Shop

Considering that this blog's gone pink for October, I decided it's only fitting to include some items that are helping the cause in addition to adding more pink to your life. This watch is absolutely gorgeous, isn't it?

So there you have it.. hope you enjoyed your time here today for Pink Saturday. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!

pink saturday, september 27.

Life was a little crazy last week, so I missed out on Pink Saturday. However, I'm back this week for my second week!

Wanna know more about Pink Saturday and maybe even join us? Go here and read all about it.

To follow up on two weeks ago, I'm posting a picture of my all my pink school-related goodies. School supplies always excite me - every year, I need to be careful because if I had my way, I would be hoarding insane amounts of adorable binders, folders, notebooks and Post-It notes.

So what can you find in my school bag on any given day?

The pink binder is equipped with a pink (and Tinkerbell-themed!) folder:

My pink highlighter comes in handy, adding a little fun to my oh-so-boring accounting textbooks.

See? Betcha wanna know all about the SEC since it's all pinkified (...okay, maybe not.)

Having school supplies in fun colors and patterns makes going to class even just a little more bearable.

There you have it! Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you next week.

pink saturday, september 13.

In case you're new here, or didn't catch this fun Cait fact earlier in the game, let me make a very obvious statement about myself: I love the color pink. It's an obsession. If I'm buying something and it comes in pink, that's the one I get. I am immediately excited about anything I see if it's pink. Basically? I want to be Sharpay from High School Musical.

So of course when I stumbled upon the idea of Pink Saturdays via Heidi's Life In Pink blog, I knew it was destiny. To find out more about this fun idea for weekend posting, visit How Sweet the Sound, where you'll also find a list of everyone else who participates. According to this week's post, there are a staggering ninety people participating! Such a strong love for all things pink.

Anyway, on to my contribution for the week!

Okay, so it's not all pink, but it's the most adorable bag ever. Right before I moved back into school this year, my aunt and her family went on a Disney vacation. During this ten-day vacay, I took care of their cat by visiting every day to feed him and give him some love. When they returned, they had some goodies for me to pay me back for cat-sitting. I pulled this tote out of the plastic Disney bag and flipped out.

It's ridiculously large compared to other tote bags I have. I was having a hard time finding a nice one to use here at school, where my textbooks are all Big and Intimidating Accounting Books. But everything fits nicely in this one, even my laptop when I need it to.

So there you have it! My very first Pink Saturday post is complete.
